MISSION STATEMENT 

Within the Davenham community we provide a quality environment underpinned by the Christian faith, values and principles. This promotes positive relationships, mutual respect and a tolerance for others, encouraging everyone to achieve their full potential.

Our strapline "Working together, playing together, serving God and serving others"  and chosen Bible quote from Thessalonians 5:11  "... encourage one another and build one another up...."embody all that we hold dear at Davenham.  

I would like to warmly welcome you to our school website and hope it provides an idea of the exciting opportunities we offer at Davenham Church of England Primary School.  Davenham is a very successful, popular and high achieving school but above all it is a happy school.  We are proud of our high standards and achievements but more importantly we are proud of our pupils; both past and present. 

The children, along with our strong Christian ethos, are at the heart of everything we do.  The children are taught to demonstrate values of endurance, friendship, compassion and peace and our daily acts of worship help to strengthen these values.  We have chosen six Christian Values to focus on. These are: Friendship, Thankfulness, Trust, Forgiveness, Compassion and Koinonia (Community.) 

We are very proud of our academic success but recognise that children’s social and emotional well-being is just as important as their academic achievements. As such, we place great importance on helping children to develop self-esteem and confidence so that they are better equipped to deal with the challenges life may present them with.

By nurturing a love of learning, in a climate which promotes positive relationships and mutual respect, our aim is to help every child fulfil their potential.

We firmly believe that primary education should be an exciting time, a time which ignites curiosity, awe and wonder and a time to create memories that children will carry with them long into adulthood. As such we recognise the value of the wider curriculum and offer a range of extra-curricular and residential visits to broaden children’s learning experiences.
