KS1 Homework

The homework has changed slightly since the start of term letter was sent out.
The KS1 homework will now be as follows:
Spelling homework (For Year 1 and Year 2 children) - The children will be tested every Monday.
Reading homework (For Year 1 and Year 2 children) - The children are to read their home book 3 times and with a focus on the comprehension questions. They are in charge of changing their own books. Obviously feel free read to library books at home too.
Maths homework (For Year 1 and Year 2 children) - The children will be set homework by their Big Maths teacher to be completed on the MyMaths website. Homework will be set on a Wednesday and will need to completed by the following Monday. (For Year 2's only there will be times tables homework set and the children will be tested on a Thursday, please see recent letter off Mrs Hyslop)
English/ Topic homework (For Year 2 children. This project is optional for Year 1 chidren) - The children will be set a set a project to complete across a half term. There will be 3 suggested activities, the children must complete at least 2 of them. The project will be due in on the Monday of the last week of that term.
The project for this term is as follows:
1. Draw your self as a dinosaur and label your own features. (EG: MissPhillipsasaurus, MrsWhittleadactyl, MrsBraham-Rex)
2. Research 3 dinosaurs, one that is a herbivore, one that is an omnivore and one that is a carnivore.
3. Make your own ... dinosuar / dinosaur egg OR fossil.
Please send the project homework into school on Monday 19th October 2015, not beofre as we will share our projects with the class in the afternoon.
